This is why I'm green....

To my dearest son Reed. I do things that are green for you and for me.. It has really become a way of life. Everything I do has a green component to it. I'm happy to say I think green. I hope you will too. I hope it becomes a way of life for you. I hope you can teach others by example. I know you will because you are my son and green runs in our veins. Thank you for being my kid....love mom

Thank you honey for supporting me in our green adventure. Thanks for getting excited when I find you thrift store pants in your size. Thank you for using the re-usable bags I gave you. Thank you for helping me to fix things instead of throwing them away. Thanks for encouraging and thanking me for buying locally and for taking me to the farmers market for organic produce on Friday nights. Thank you for running biodiesel in your car and stepping away from fossil fuels and setting a wonderful example for me and others that, yes it can be done.....your the best and I love you. Oh yeah, and thank you for the way you look at me after all these years. love from me.

Every day should be Earth day....

Here I am getting in touch with nature...this helps me stay green and grounded. Being out in nature is the best was to be green. When we spend time in nature we begin to appreciate it and want to spend more time there. We want to preserve it for ourselves and future generation. That's what nature does. The earth supplies us with all we need physically, mentally and spiritually. Some people even believe that nature is their "church" and the outdoors, trees, fields and valleys are its cathedrals. I certainly like this idea, as spirituality comes in many forms and when I'm in nature mother Earth really sings to me and I really listen. Happy Earth Day

Green Spring, Green Bags

Hello Happy Spring....

 Hello from what did you do that was green today. I observed lots of spring green, this always gets me in the mood to continue on my green path. Doing what I can to be green. I couldn't help but post some wonderful spring beauty. This is earth in her amazing glory doing her thing, and we get to be part of it. Let's keep up our green working and fight for this planet our home. I stumbled upon a new cool bag that I think says so much.

 When I think of all the plastic we generate and how so much of it ends up in the ocean I get pretty frustrated. I really want to get away from using so much of it. This is my little way to help.

Great Food for Thought On the Bag

I think this says it all....RE-THINK PLASTIC!!!! We owe it to ourselves to do the best we can to get away from using plastic bags at grocery stores. I just throw a bunch of reusable bags in my car and use them as needed. I like the ones that convey messages to us about why were doing it, not just for us but for future generations to come.
Thanks and get some reusable bags and throw them in your car and don't forget to use them. It feels good to be green!
